What Are Cookies ?

A Cookie's Purpose is:
When you use an appliction such as your internet browser, that program knows who you are and what you have just clicked on to lead you to the next place in the program. Web pages cannot know this beacuse a web page can be accessed by many people at the same time and must accomadate all users at once. A cookie is used to help the server know that it is indeed you that asked for this page to be displayed. Cookies cannot interpret your name, address, e-mail address, nor see data which you may have provided to another site earlier in the same session.

How to See the Code in a Cookie:
Just click on a cookie to open it. You'll see a short string of text and numbers. The numbers are your identification card, which can only be seen by the server that gave you the cookie.
